After testing carefully the DSO8060 came to the conclusion that it is a great instrument to truly affordable price.
Obviously we cannot expect the accuracy of instruments of well-known and famed brands, but the difference in price is also abysmal, I think for hobbist and small business is the ideal instrument.
The instruction manual is extensive but does not fully cover the functions available. These days, i have found more things than the manual indicates, for example how to generate and save to the AWG arbitrary signals, or modifying the sensitivity Y axis in the FFT mode.
Battery life is as indicated by the manufacturer, about six hours.
The charger circuit automatic stopping when it reaches the full level. Very important for a long life battery.
The function generator in sinewave mode reaches up to 75 Mhz, if we want it with AM/FM modulation only goes up to 25 Mhz, more than we need to test radio receivers, hf filters...
In the square wave signals are good up to 5 Mhz, above this frequency, the signal goes to be sine. The greater part of bench function generators functions do not exceed these characteristics unless very expensive brands.
Signal generation arbitrary must be accessed from the software and subsequently can be stored in memory of the oscilloscope or in a pendrive. The maximum amount of points for a cycle of signal is by the 1000 by what you can get a good resolution. You can also generate the signal arbitrary through Excel, the only precaution is to save, you must be in pure format .CSV otherwise hang software DSO Analyzer.
Many additional functions mathematics, and control PASS/FAIL.
The only problem encountered is in the output of the generator AWG in DC mode, the value delivered to the output is not the one indicated on the display by the to vary the offset, the real problem is that the output does not seem to be linear so adjustment of offset is necessary readjusted to different output values.
In fact, an instrument very recommendable despite some minor defects.##
